practical skills: increased emphasis on oral and written communication / using the Hans Wehr dictionary

verbs: maSdars, active and passive participles for forms II through X

vocabulary / conversation topics: shopping for food, cooking, quantities and measurements, reserving a table and eating in a restaurant,

reading / listening: The month of Ramadan, The Arab World...a Look at Lebanon
